Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Alain Berset, according to the Akorda press service.
During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for strengthening comprehensive cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Council of Europe.
President Tokayev reaffirmed the country’s commitment to deepening engagement with the European organization. He also briefed Berset on the implementation of a wide-ranging political reform program aimed at building a Just Kazakhstan.
In turn, Alain Berset expressed the Council of Europe’s readiness to further develop cooperation with Kazakhstan.

On May 29, on the sidelines of the Astana International Forum, Tokayev held talks with Laurent Saint-Martin, President of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the French National Assembly, Bruno Fuchs, and executives from EDF, SUEZ, and Sanofi.
President Tokayev also met with Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates, on the sidelines of the Astana International Forum (AIF).
