Tengrinews.kz – The Head of State spoke at a ceremony for the presentation of state awards and military ranks, citing Akorda.
President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated officers and soldiers, as well as the participants of the ceremony, on Defender of the Fatherland Day and Victory Day.
“Both holidays are close in meaning and remind us of the continuity of our country’s valiant traditions. We honor the defenders of the Motherland and pay tribute to the heroes who fell for it. In difficult times, our ancestors showed unity, defended their native lands and passed this legacy on to future generations. Remaining faithful to their commandments is our sacred duty. The referendum on constitutional reform became confirmation of the people’s unity, their responsibility to future generations and a historic choice for the country’s future,” the President said.
The Head of State noted that the Constitution is a reliable guarantee of Kazakhstan’s statehood and sovereignty.
“The new Basic Law reflects the interests, goals and values of the people. Its key principles include the protection of sovereignty and independence, respect for citizens’ rights and freedoms, improving well-being and strengthening unity. The development of education, science, innovation and human capital has been enshrined as a strategic priority of the state. Thus, Kazakhstan has embarked on the path of building a just and strong state where the principle of ‘Law and Order’ prevails and citizens are given equal opportunities. Only by preserving unity and prosperity will we be able to achieve our goals,” Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
