Tengrinews.kz – A storm warning has been declared in 17 regions of Kazakhstan. On May 29, forecasters are predicting thunderstorms and hail in some regions, and heat and high fire danger in others, according to Kazhydromet.

Turkestan Region – Thunderstorms and hail in the southern mountainous areas. Dust storms in the west and north. Wind 15–20 m/s in various parts. High to extreme fire danger in different zones. Dust storms expected in Turkestan.
Zhambyl Region – Thunderstorms in the mountains, dust storms in the north and south. Wind gusts 15–20 m/s. High to extreme fire danger. In Taraz, wind gusts of 15–20 m/s expected.
Almaty Region – Northeastern and eastern wind, 15–20 m/s in the north during the day.
Akmola Region – Thunderstorms expected in north, east, and south. Gusty wind in the north.
Mangystau Region – High fire danger in the west. High fire danger in Aktau.
Aktobe Region – Wind gusts 15–18 m/s in the south and east. High to extreme fire danger in multiple areas. High fire danger in Aktobe.
Atyrau Region – Dust storms expected in the west and south. Daytime heat up to 35°C. High to extreme fire danger. In Atyrau, extreme fire danger and 35°C heat.
Kyzylorda Region – Dust storms in the north and center. Wind 15–20 m/s. Extreme fire danger in many parts. Dust storm and high fire danger in Kyzylorda.
North Kazakhstan Region – Thunderstorms expected in multiple areas. Wind gusts 15–20 m/s. In Petropavlovsk, thunderstorms and strong winds.
East Kazakhstan Region – Rain and snow at night in the north and east. Fog expected. Frosts down to -2°C. Wind gusts in the east and south.
Abay Region – Fog at night and in the morning in the north and east. Frosts in the east. Extreme fire danger in the south.
