After the first three months, it is prematurely to forecast annual inflation rate. The current situation in the consumer market is stable. There are no reasons for negative outlooks, Grigory Marchenko, Head of the National Bank, said in an on-line conference arranged by Profinance.kz.
“In accordance with the major guidelines of the monetary policy for 2011, a priority is to ensure stability of prices for essential products and keep the inflation within 6-8%. As of now, there is no immediate need to revisit the inflation rate forecast”, Head of the National Bank said.
