In the H1 2011 the number of S&MBs; grew by 8%, exceeding 600 000, the President’s Press Service quoted PM Massimov as saying. “I want to emphasize that by July 1 the number of S&MBs; (…) made up 678 000. 2.5 million are employed in the sector, over 1/3 of the economically active population”, Massimov said at a sitting [on the H1 2011 economy results] presided over by President. According to Massimov, within the “Business Roadmap” Program 436 S&MB; projects got financing worth $1.2 billion. “Quite a good amount for the country’s small and middle sized business”, Massimov said.
