Tengrinews.kz - At Aktau Airport, passengers of a FlyArystan flight from Aktau to Almaty caused a stir after complaining about unbearable waiting conditions. They claimed they spent the night at the airport due to the absence of a pilot, citing Lada.kz.
“Six hours on the floor, on our suitcases! It’s freezing, no blankets, no information. A multibillion company, and the conditions are like being in a basement!” one passenger said.
The situation sparked commotion, prompting police officers to arrive at the scene.
The flight in question was FS 7178 from Aktau to Almaty, which was originally scheduled to depart on July 6 at 02:05 a.m., but was first delayed to 06:45 a.m., and later rescheduled again to 10:30 p.m. local time.
According to the airline, the reasons were due to the “late arrival of the aircraft” and “operational needs.”
FlyArystan’s press service stated that passengers were provided with drinks and meals, and 23 people were accommodated in a hotel starting at 09:30 a.m. upon request. Free rebooking and full ticket refunds were also offered.
“We regret the inconvenience caused. Flight safety is our top priority,” the airline noted.
