Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has arrived in the Aktobe region.
According to the presidential press service, Tokayev will take part in the international military-patriotic youth gathering "Aibyn" held in the city of Aktobe.
The gathering is taking place from June 23 to 28 in a field camp of the Talgat Bigeldinov Military Institute of the Air Defence Forces. More than 50 teams from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Uzbekistan have arrived. The participants are aged 14 to 18.
“This event is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Hero of the Soviet Union Aliya Moldagulova, who was born in this region, and to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The gathering aims to unite our youth, help them get to know each other and their shared history, and includes military and sports activities such as a military-style cross-country race, relay, the intellectual game ‘Aibyn Daryny’, and more. Participants live in tents, with all necessary conditions provided, including four meals a day,” said Daulet Beisekov, an officer from the headquarters organizing "Aibyn-2025".
Note: President Tokayev last visited the Aktobe region in December 2024 during a working trip, where he was shown several industrial enterprises and introduced to the operations of local social facilities.
