Kazakhstan raises estimate 2011 exports
According to Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Economy Development and Trade, the growth is propelled by higher prices for major exports.
Oil and Gas Minister admits fuel shortages
It was reported earlier that since the start of the year petrol price had grown by 17.4%, with prices set by oil refineries growing by 23%. Retail prices for diesel fuel have grown by 20% since the start of the year.
Kazakhstan already harvested 43.7% of grain
Agriculture Minister Assylzhan Mamytbekov had told a briefing August 17 2011 that grain harvest in Kazakhstan would make up 18.9 million tons.

With its 1.2 billion tons of oil and condensed gas and 1.35 trillion cubic meters of gas, Karachaganak is one of the largest O&G fields in the world. Karachagank accounts for 49% of all the gas production and 18% of oil production in Kazakhstan.
