Tengrinews.kz - Kazakh citizens were stuck at the airport due to a delayed Lufthansa flight.
Half of the people on the flight to Almaty are only transiting through Germany and do not have visas.
"The flight was supposed to leave on July 11 at 16:05. The company did not provide a hotel. There are children and adults here, and we received a text message saying there would be a hotel. There are also mice in the airport," the passenger said, providing a video.

She said they were given blankets and pillows and told to find a place in the transit area. They were also given a 15 euro voucher.
"For example, a salad in a cafe costs 12.95 euros, and the voucher for two people was actually 25 euros, so we had to make do with a salad, two cups of tea, and a sandwich for lunch and dinner for two people. At night, when it was clear that some had not eaten and it was cold, they brought boxes of water, Mars bars and thicker blankets," she said.
The Lufthansa flight was delayed with no explanation. After a while, the new departure time was announced - July 12 at 11:35 local time (14:35 in Astana).
According to the Ministry of Transport, when Lufthansa flights are canceled or delayed, passengers are notified by e-mail or SMS and the flight is automatically rebooked. If the flight is delayed for more than 2 hours, passengers will receive a meal voucher. If the flight is rescheduled for the following day, a hotel room will be provided.
