Tengrinews.kz — Construction of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) — Tarlan Astana — continues in the capital. Work has commenced on the line that will connect the city with Kosshy.
The project is currently focused on Aitmatov Street.
By all appearances, work is just about to begin; workers in uniform were spotted at the site.
There is also a significant amount of machinery, road signs, and specialized fencing at the location.

Were it not for the "Astana LRT" signage, one might mistake the activity for routine road repairs.

However, all indicators suggest that the signature pylons for the future light rail system will soon appear here.

Incidentally, the former "Astana LRT" branding seems to have remained on the fencing since the construction of the first phase.

Notably, pylons have already been installed in the direction of Kosshy. We previously reported that trees were being "felled" at the construction site. It was later clarified that the plants are being transplanted to other areas to clear the path for construction work.
