The inspection covered 46,000 vehicles and identified 1,080 foreign nationals engaged in private taxi services, of whom 691 were found to be in violation of migration laws.
Among the recorded violations, 234 foreign nationals were held accountable for illegal employment, while 457 were penalized for overstaying their permitted period in the country.
The court ruled to deport 175 foreign taxi drivers, with 103 of them placed in detention centers for identity verification. Additionally, 38 Kazakhstani citizens faced administrative penalties for illegally employing foreign workers.
Police noted that some Kazakhstani citizens were renting out their vehicles to foreign nationals. Five such cases were identified in the capital, with similar incidents reported in Almaty, Mangystau, and West Kazakhstan regions.
