Tengrinews.kz - The Minister of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry, Zhaslan Madiyev, has responded to rumors claiming that Kazakhstan would abandon its eGov platform.
According to him, this information is false — Kazakhstan “cannot afford” to have eGov unavailable to its citizens.
“I do not confirm this. eGov is a very popular tool that makes it convenient for our citizens to access more than a thousand services. As you know, today more than 90 percent of government services are available online, so we cannot afford to have eGov become unavailable for citizens. It is a critically important tool for accessing government services, providing them in the most convenient way possible for our clients,” Zhaslan Madiyev said.
Earlier, some media outlets reported that Kazakhstan would abandon the eGov electronic government portal and replace it with another platform called KazTech.
