Tengrinews.kz — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan has issued a statement regarding allegations by certain Russian experts that the drones that attacked Omsk were supposedly launched from Kazakh territory.
Following a drone attack on Russia’s Omsk region, several Russian media outlets published reports suggesting that the drones may have been launched from Kazakhstan. These theories were based on Omsk’s geographical proximity to the Kazakh border and the assessments of individual experts.
In response to an inquiry from Tengrinews.kz, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry described these statements as provocative.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan formally declares that these allegations are untrue and are not supported by any data or facts. We view such publications as baseless insinuations aimed at distorting the traditionally friendly nature of Kazakhstan-Russia relations, which are successfully developing in the spirit of a comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance," the ministry stated.
The ministry also emphasized that Kazakhstan consistently pursues a peaceful, balanced, and responsible foreign policy based on the principles of good-neighborliness, mutual respect, and non-interference in the internal affairs of other states. The Republic of Kazakhstan strictly adheres to international law and international treaty obligations concerning international and regional security.
"We emphasize that the Republic of Kazakhstan maintains that its territory, airspace, and infrastructure may not be used to carry out actions directed against other states," the ministry stated.
The Foreign Ministry also urged media representatives and other individuals to rely exclusively on verified facts and to refrain from disseminating misinformation.
