Tengrinews.kz - Kazhydromet warns residents of Almaty and another city.
"On November 4, 2024, unfavorable meteorological conditions of air pollution are expected in the cities of Almaty and Aktobe," the report says.
On November 4, Almaty is expected to have variable cloudiness and no precipitation. Southwest wind, 2-7 meters per second. Air temperature at night will be 8-10°C and during the day 18-20°C.
Unfavorable meteorological conditions are a combination of short-term meteorological factors (calm, light wind, fog, inversion), which contribute to the accumulation of harmful (polluting) substances in the surface layer of atmospheric air.
Earlier, meteorologists provided an outlook for Kazakhstan's 2024/2025 winter. November is expected to have alternating warm and cold days, with snow in most parts of the country and rain with snow possible in the south and southwest. Strong winds, possible blizzards, and icy conditions are also anticipated.
