Tengrinews.kz – A Lufthansa aircraft clipped a fuel truck at Almaty Airport.

According to the airport’s press service, the incident occurred on October 13 at around 01:25 a.m.

“After refueling an Airbus A340 operated by Lufthansa (flight LH648, route Almaty–Astana), the fuel truck slightly touched the aircraft’s engine while leaving the parking stand. The aircraft was immediately inspected by the engineering service. The inspection revealed minor surface scratches on the engine cowling,” the statement said.

After completing the necessary technical checks, the aircraft was cleared for departure.

The airport’s Flight Safety Department has launched a detailed investigation into the incident.
