Tengrinews.kz - Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov has ordered strict control over the cost of state projects and ruled out any price increases, he announced at a government meeting.
Bektenov noted that some contractors working on government projects frequently submit letters complaining about rising costs.
"A contractor is hired, they work, so let them work within the existing budget. This applies to all administrators. Stop coming in and constantly writing letters asking for an extra 30 or 40 percent due to cost increases. There will be no price hikes. If they want to work, fine. If not, let them leave – we’ll find another contractor. A tough stance is needed here," he stated.
Earlier, Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting on the development of nuclear energy.
