Tengrinews.kz - Kazhydromet has issued a warning for residents of Astana, Almaty, and other cities across various regions of the country.

"On February 21, 2025, unfavorable meteorological conditions for air pollution are expected in the cities of Pavlodar, Karaganda, Temirtau, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Semey, Ridder, Uralsk, Almaty, and Astana," the statement said.

Unfavorable meteorological conditions refer to a combination of short-term weather factors (calm, light wind, fog, inversion) that contribute to the accumulation of harmful (polluting) substances in the lower layers of the atmosphere.
