Tengrinews.kz – Meteorologists from Kazhydromet have shared the weather forecast for Kazakhstan for May 29, 30, and 31.
A cold anticyclone will continue influencing eastern Kazakhstan. Nighttime frosts down to -3°C are expected in some regions there.
At the same time, even residents in the southeast will feel the anticyclone’s effects. Daytime temperatures are forecasted to be an unusual 20-25°C for this time of year.
Meanwhile, warm air masses from the Iranian region will affect the western part of the country. The weather will be hot and dry, with temperatures rising to +33...+38°C.
Earlier, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Erlan Nysanbayev outlined the summer forecast. According to him, June temperatures in northern and central Kazakhstan will range from 17 to 20°C, while southern and western regions may see highs up to 28°C. In some southwestern areas, heat may reach up to 45°C.
Rainfall in June and July is expected to be within normal levels, though slightly higher in the north, south, and southeast. August and September are forecasted to be drier, with temperatures about 1°C above average. The forecast is preliminary and may change.
