Tengrinews.kz - Reports have surfaced on social media claiming that the website of Kazakhstan’s embassy in Russia has been hacked.
The information was shared by the Telegram channel "Utechka Informacyy ('Data Leakage')," stating that hackers had allegedly gained access to data from the website kazembassy.ru.
"A large number of text files contain personal data of citizens who presumably registered for consular appointments or submitted inquiries via the website. The leaked information reportedly includes full names, around 24,500 unique phone numbers, 32,500 unique email addresses, dates of birth, and residential addresses," the publication states.
The files are said to be dated February 21, 2025.
"We do not confirm any data leak. Technical specialists are currently investigating this claim," Kazakhstan’s State Technical Service stated in response.
Earlier, the State Technical Service issued a warning to Kazakhstanis regarding calls from numbers starting with +870.
