Tengrinews.kz - Ahead of the Nauryz holiday, Kazakhstani airlines are increasing the number of flights.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Transport, 120 additional flights will be added on domestic and international routes from March 16 to March 30, 2025.
SCAT Airlines will introduce 32 additional flights, including 16 flights between Astana and Almaty, 8 between Astana and Shymkent, and 8 between Almaty and Shymkent.
In addition, from the end of May, SCAT will open new international routes:
- Shymkent - Cairo (from May 29, 2 flights per week);
- Shymkent - Xian (from May 28, 2 flights per week);
- Shymkent - Budapest (from May 27, 2 flights per week).
"Air tickets are available for purchase on the official websites of airlines. No increases in fares for domestic and international destinations are planned, and prices for air tickets remain at the same level. The cost of air tickets may vary based on market factors (purchase of a ticket a certain period before departure, etc.)," the statement says.
Low-cost airline FlyArystan will add 33 additional flights between Astana and Almaty (+11 flights), as well as to Uralsk, Shymkent, Karaganda, Kyzylorda and other cities.
- Astana – Almaty +11 flights;
- Astana – Uralsk +4 flights;
- Almaty – Shymkent +3 flights;
- Almaty – Karaganda +2 flights;
- Almaty – Kyzylorda +2 flights;
- Astana – Shymkent +2 flights;
- Astana – Turkestan +2 flights;
- Almaty – Kostanay +1 flight;
- Almaty – Semey +1 flight;
- Almaty – Pavlodar +1 flight;
- Almaty – Uralsk +1 flight;
- Astana – Kyzylorda +1 flight;
- Astana – Aktau +1 flight;
- Astana – Ust-Kamenogorsk +1 flight.
It is noted that from June 4, flights will be opened on the Karaganda-Istanbul route (2 flights per week).
"Qazaq Air is working on the issue of increasing the number of flights on pre-holiday and holiday days on domestic routes Astana-Almaty, Astana-Shymkent, Astana-Turkestan," the report says.
Air Astana will add 55 flights, including within Kazakhstan:
- Astana – Almaty (+8 flights);
- Atyrau – Astana (+6);
- Atyrau – Almaty (+3);
- Almaty – Shymkent (+2);
- Almaty – Kyzylorda (+2).
On international routes:
- Almaty – Seoul (+4);
- Almaty – Istanbul (+4);
- Astana – Istanbul (+4);
- Almaty – Male (+4);
- Almaty – Beijing (+2);
- Astana – Seoul (+2).
In addition, new routes will open in the spring:
- Almaty – Nha Trang (4 flights per week from March 30);
- Astana – Nha Trang (3 flights per week from March 31);
- Almaty – Guangzhou (3 flights per week from March 30);
- Almaty – Mumbai (from April 20, 3 flights per week);
- Atyrau - Tbilisi (from May 28, 3 flights per week);
- Astana - Frankfurt (from June 1, 3 flights per week).
"Airlines will continue to work to increase flights on holidays based on technical feasibility," the press service noted.
