Tengrinews.kz - Starting July 13, Kazakhstan will begin accepting applications for government-funded educational grants, citing National Information Technologies JSC.

Prospective students can apply online through the eGov.kz portal from 9:00 a.m. on July 13 until 6:00 p.m. on July 20.

To submit an application, students will need to upload the following documents:

  • A digital copy of their education certificate (e.g., high school diploma or equivalent);
  • A 3x4 cm photo;
  • A medical commission report, if applicable.

Students eligible for social support must also provide documents confirming their status. These may include:

  • Death certificates of parents;
  • Disability certificates;
  • Documentation confirming orphan status;
  • Other documents as defined by law.

To apply, applicants must:

  • Log in to eGov.kz;
  • Go to “For citizenry” → “Education” → “Higher Education”;
  • Select the service: “Academic scholarship award as well as social support provision to students of higher and (or) post-graduate education organizations”;
  • Click “Request online”;
  • Fill out all required fields and sign the request electronically;
  • Check the application status in the “Service history” section of their personal account.

Successful applicants will receive a digital certificate confirming the grant award, which will be available in their eGov.kz account no later than August 10, 2025.

To better manage traffic and avoid server overloads, eGov.kz has implemented a virtual waiting list. The system automatically places users in a queue and grants access without requiring them to refresh the page.

Applicants can opt in for SMS notifications by selecting the corresponding checkbox. An alert from number 1414 will be sent when their turn is approaching. If the mobile number is not registered in the Citizen Mobile Database, the user will be prompted to enter it manually.

Important: Users are advised not to close or refresh their browser tab before submitting the application, as this may result in losing their place in line.
