As of September 9 Kazakhstan has harvested 43.7% of grain, Agriculture Minister Assylzhan Mamytbekov wrote in his Twitter. “As of September 9 Kazakhstan has reaped cereal crops in 7 million hectares out of 16.2 million hectares (43.7%). Threshed grain has already exceeded last year’s total amount by 1 million tons”, according to the Minister. Sky-high grain harvest estimate stands at about 22 million tons as of the end of July, Agrosektor.kz reported earlier, citing the Kazakhstan’s Research Institute for Environmental and Climate Studies.
