Tengrinews.kz - A resident of Kostanay successfully sued a tarot reader for 100,000 tenge after a failed prediction about her marriage, according to Alau.kz.

After discovering her husband's infidelity, the woman sought guidance from an online tarot reader. The cards allegedly indicated that her marriage could be saved, but her husband eventually left. Following the inaccurate prediction, she demanded a refund for the service, which had cost her 100,000 tenge.

"As per their agreement, the defendant was obligated to return the full amount if the promised outcome was not achieved. However, the tarot reader refused to refund the money, citing various reasons," said Lyazzat Baigozhina, spokesperson for the Kostanay regional court.

The court ruled in favor of the woman, ordering the tarot reader to reimburse her. The decision has already come into legal effect.

Previously, Kyrgyzstan’s Cabinet of Ministers approved a list of prohibited "magic services" that cannot be advertised within the country, including advertisements for clairvoyants, fortune-tellers, spiritualism, and divination.
