Tengrinews.kz — Air Astana has extended the suspension of its Middle East flights until May 31.

The details were provided by the airline’s press service.

“Due to the continuing tense situation in the Middle East, Air Astana is extending the suspension of its scheduled flights to Dubai through May 31 inclusive,” the airline said.

Passengers on canceled flights are offered one of the following options:

  • a full refund of the ticket price with no penalties;
  • free rebooking in the same class of service on flights departing through July 31 inclusive;
  • a route change to other Air Astana flights without a penalty, but with payment of any fare and airport tax difference (for flights departing through July 31 inclusive).

The airline also clarified that if a ticket has already been rebooked with a penalty charged, that amount will not be refunded.

The carrier said it continues to monitor the situation in the region and will inform passengers of any changes.

Meanwhile, from April 20, German airline Lufthansa canceled 20,000 flights through October.
