Tengrinews.kz – On 4 March, flights carrying Kazakh citizens returning from Middle Eastern countries arrived at airports in Kazakhstan.
According to the Civil Aviation Committee, the airline Air Astana operated several flights from Medina and Jeddah:
- Flight KC2202 arrived in Aktau at 9:28 PM, with 142 passengers on board;
- Flight KC2208 on the Medina – Atyrau route landed at 01:19 AM, with 145 passengers;
- Flight KC2206 on the Jeddah – Atyrau route arrived at 02:50 AM, with 174 passengers;
- Flight KC2204 on the same route arrived at 03:34 AM, with 179 people on board.
In addition, the airline SCAT is operating the Almaty – Muscat – Almaty flight on a Boeing 767 with a capacity of about 290 seats.
In total, 946 passengers have been returned to Kazakhstan as of today.
Work on bringing Kazakh citizens back home is ongoing.
We remind you that on 2 March the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan made a statement regarding the situation around Iran. The ministry expressed regret over strikes on civilian facilities in Arab states not participating in the war against Iran, with which Kazakhstan consistently develops relations of friendship and comprehensive cooperation. The foreign ministry also expressed condolences to the people of Iran in connection with the deaths of civilians, including children, as well as members of the country’s senior leadership as a result of the recent tragic events.
