Tengrinews.kz - A Chinese citizen was severely punished for spitting in the air harbor building at Almaty airport. The man was not only fined but also removed from his flight, according to the press service of the transport police department.

Police officers at the Almaty airport detained a passenger who was scheduled to fly on the Almaty-Shymkent flight.

"During the inspection, it was found that a 34-year-old citizen of the People's Republic of China had spat in a public area in the waiting hall for domestic departures, showing disrespect to others and contaminating a shared space," the police reported.

The offender was held accountable for polluting a public area, fined 5 MCI (19,660 tenge), and removed from the flight.
