Tengrinews.kz - A foreign national wanted on an interstate warrant for large-scale fraud has been detained in Pavlodar, citing Polisia.kz.
The suspect was identified and apprehended during the "Migrant" preventive operation at one of the industrial sites in the city.
"The detainee is currently being held in a temporary detention facility. Work is underway to process his extradition to the country that initiated the search," Pavlodar Regional Police Department stated.
During the three days of the "Migrant" operation, 262 people were held administratively accountable, including 175 foreign nationals and 87 citizens of Kazakhstan.
Thirteen foreign nationals were deported, while court proceedings are pending in five other cases to determine possible deportation.
