What to do in case of fire:
- Cover your mouth and nose with any cloth, preferably damp.
- Move away from the fire.
- Do not use the elevator.
- Do not break windows to avoid extra oxygen flow.
- Do not use water to extinguish flammable liquids (gasoline, kerosene) or plugged-in electrical devices.
In a building, high-rise, or crowded space:
- If the fire source is small, try to put it out using available tools: extinguishers, dense fabric, sand, soil from flower pots, or water.
- If electrical wiring is burning, disconnect the power supply at the circuit breaker.
- Immediately inform neighbors or coworkers and initiate evacuation.
- Turn off electrical equipment.
- If possible, leave the premises and close the doors behind you.
- Help children and elderly people exit.
- If there's smoke in the hallway, crawl toward the exit.
- Move to a safe place.
- If evacuation via stairs is impossible, seal the entrance door from the inside with wet cloth to block smoke, then go to the balcony and wait for the fire service.
- Close windows and doors to prevent drafts from spreading the fire.
When calling 101 or 112, report the following:
- Address of the fire or ignition site;
- The object on fire (courtyard, apartment, warehouse);
- The item on fire (TV, furniture);
- If necessary – entrance number, apartment number, number of floors, and the fire’s location, access details, entrance codes;
- Your surname and phone number.
