Tengrinews.kz - Footage has emerged showing fighter jets escorting Chinese President Xi Jinping’s plane to Astana Airport, citing the Akorda press service.
Kazakhstan’s capital is preparing to host the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping. According to Akorda, from the moment the aircraft entered Kazakhstan’s airspace until its arrival in the capital, it was accompanied by fighter jets from the country’s Air Defense Forces.

President Xi Jinping has arrived in Kazakhstan for a two-day official visit at the invitation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
During the visit, the two leaders are expected to hold high-level bilateral talks focused on further strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and China.
On June 17, Astana will host the second “Central Asia – China” summit, with the participation of heads of state from across the region.
