Tengrinews.kz – Kazakhstan’s capital has been prepared for the official visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
On June 16–17, at the invitation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping will visit Kazakhstan.
In honor of the high-ranking guest’s visit, flags of both countries have been placed on the main streets of Astana.
Enhanced security measures are being implemented in the capital, and some streets have been closed.
Drivers and pedestrians are advised to plan their routes in advance, taking into account possible changes in traffic arrangements. Temporary road signs and markers will be installed to ensure safety and minimize inconvenience.
As previously reported, a bilateral high-level meeting is planned during the Chinese President’s visit, where the sides will discuss further deepening of the Kazakh-Chinese comprehensive strategic partnership.
In addition, on June 17, Astana will host the second "Central Asia – China" summit with the participation of regional heads of state.
