Tengrinews.kz - A Russian national was detained at Almaty Airport after urinating in his seat during a flight from Phuket, according to Polisia.kz.
The incident occurred on board a Phuket–Almaty flight. Upon arrival, officers from the airport’s police unit detained the unruly passenger.
According to the transport police, the 42-year-old man, who was intoxicated, urinated in his seat during the flight, disturbing public order.
He was charged with two administrative offenses: consuming alcohol or appearing intoxicated in a public place, and petty hooliganism. He was fined 25 MCI (Monthly Calculation Index).
In the first quarter of this year, the transport police recorded over 21,000 administrative offenses, including 1,648 cases of public intoxication and 163 instances of petty hooliganism.
Previously, a foreigner was removed from a flight at the Astana Airport for causing a disturbance on board.
