Tengrinews.kz - A British citizen reported his son missing to the police in Astana after the young man suddenly stopped communicating and sent out a distress signal.

According to the Astana police, the foreigner had come to the city to participate in the World Nomad Games.

"The young man from England suddenly ceased all communication, causing concern for his parents. Upon receiving this information, the police immediately began their search. They contacted the father through online communication and gathered all the necessary details. As a result of their swift actions, they were able to locate the 29-year-old foreigner, who had been unresponsive for the past two days but was actually staying at a hotel," stated the police department.

The police clarified that the SOS signal was sent by accident. The father later recorded a video message thanking the tourist police and the residents of Kazakhstan for their assistance.

Previously, Kazakhstan's National Guard soldiers helped reunite a foreign citizen with his lost daughter at one of the locations of the World Nomad Games.
