Air Astana temporarily cancels flights to Dubai

Tengrinews.kz — Air Astana is temporarily canceling flights to Dubai from Almaty and Astana. The restriction will remain in effect from March 11 through March 31 inclusive, the airline said.

Why the flights were canceled

The company explained that the decision was due to the current situation in the Middle East.

“Due to the tense situation in the Middle East, Air Astana is canceling scheduled flights from Almaty to Dubai and from Astana to Dubai from March 11 through March 31 inclusive,” the carrier said.

What passengers on canceled flights should do

Passengers have been offered two options: a refund or the ability to reschedule their trip for a later date at no extra charge.

“Passengers on canceled flights are offered a full refund without penalties or free rebooking on flights operating between April 1 and May 31 inclusive,” the airline said.

Passengers can either receive a full refund for their ticket or choose another travel date starting in April.

Details about tickets or refund arrangements can be obtained through the airline’s Booking and Information Center, which operates 24/7.
