Tengrinews.kz - Police commented on messages circulating in messengers about an alleged “bait” on the road involving child car seats with a “fake” baby, citing Polisia.kz.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the information spreading in messengers about such a “bait,” as well as claims about eggs being thrown at car windshields to force vehicles to stop, is not true.

“The Ministry of Internal Affairs reminds social media users that the dissemination of knowingly false information via mass media or information and communication networks entails liability. We recommend trusting only official sources,” the ministry added.

The authorities also shared a screenshot of the fake message.
