Scientists have found that even one serving of yogurt a week reduces the risk of developing a dangerous disease. The effectiveness of the product was even higher with regular consumption of yogurt twice a week for a long time.

Experts noted that the positive effect of the product on the intestines is associated with changes in the microbiome and bifidobacteria, which have an anti-inflammatory effect.

The risk of cancer is reduced "by maintaining a balanced intestinal microflora, which can help eliminate harmful microbes," the experts clarified.

It is reported that about 150 thousand people took part in the researchers' work.
