Saken Ospanov. Snapshit of KTK video
A resident of Petropavlovsk became the first person in Kazakhstan to get a bio-hand. The hand works on impulses sent by the patient’s brain, KTK reports.
The citizen of Presnovka village Saken Ospanov lost his right hand in a car accident three years ago. He has alreadyl earned to live with his left hand only. The man was selected from hundreds of disabled. Ospanov received his new hand at the expense of the local budget in late 2012.
The man first found it had to hold a cup and drink and pour water: the glass keeps falling from naughty hand, he said. The device is controlled by brain impulses and, according to Ospanov, it can get out of control because of nerve strain.
The device was assembled at Petropavlovsk prosthesis plant. Parts come from Germany.
