The first coronary artery bypass surgery was made in Pavlodar, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the press-service of Kazakhstan Healthcare Ministry.
The surgery on the patient born in 1949 was made in the new cardio-surgery center. On November 2012 the man had a large-focal myocardical infarction. He is now in intensive care unit with stable circulatory dynamics.
The cardio-surgery center started operating in the end of December 2012 to provide a package solution for decreasing the number of cases of diseases, disabilities and cut mortality rate from blood circulatory system diseases.
Kazakhstan currently has four regional cardio-surgical centers in Astana, Almaty, Pavlodar and Aktobe.
