American and Kazakhstan surgeons will be exchanging experience in cancer treatment for several days in Astana, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Astana administration’s website. “Experts from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) arrived to Astana on July 15. During the visit they will give joint Kazakhstan-American master classes on surgical oncology in the framework of the project for creation of the National Scientific Oncological Center in Kazakhstan,” the website writes. The American surgeons and their Kazakhstan colleagues will perform 7 abdomen surgeries in the State Scientific Center of Emergency Medicine. The doctors will also be exchanging experience in treatment of oncological diseases. The Americans will lecture on new achievements in surgical oncology and treatment of acute pain syndrome for the surgeons and oncologists from all over Kazakhstan.
