New iPhone 5 will not be officially sold in Kazakhstan, head and co-owner of BFF.kz network Ulan Karazhigitov told Tengrinews.kz. The company is an authorized partner of Apple in Kazakhstan. According to Karazhigitov, Apple does not have an official supplier of iPhone to Kazakhstan, that’s why the resellers have no chances to buy the smartphones in batches. That’s why the country lacks an official iPhone guarantee support and authorized service centers. According to Karazhigitov, owners of “grey” iPhones may have a range of problems and a lack of guarantee service is only one of them. “The phone is imported to Kazakhstan from other countries where it is supplied officially. But, for example iPhone 5 for China and UAE have limited functions, as they don’t have FaceTime video technology there,” expert said. According to the expert, Apple may permit official sales of smartphones only in case Kazakhstan resellers buy a big batch of iPhones. However, it will be difficult to sell them in Kazakhstan, as sales of “grey” iPhones are well set in the country. Nevertheless, the expert noted that cellular operators could possibly become official dealers of the new smartphone, just as it is done in Europe. iPhone 5 was presented in San-Francisco on September 12, 2012. The sales started in the U.S. and a range of other countries on September 21. The gadget is very different from its previous version. It has Apple A6 processor installed. Currently it is considered the most efficient processor among those used in Apple gadgets. By Dmitriy Khegai
