Kazakhstan GDP growth expected at 6.5%

According to Troika Dialog Kazakhstan Investment Company, in 2011 GDP growth in Kazakhstan is expected at 6.5%, Interfax Kazakhstan reports. The Company believes this estimate to be more realistic than the moderate forecast of the Government (4-5%). The Company’s experts expect consumer spending to grow at least by 10%. GDP growth in 2010 stood at 7%. The growth was mainly spurred by growing consumer spending and exports. Troika Dialog is an investment company established in 1991. It mostly covers CIS markets. The Company deals with securities, provides a range of investments services, asset management, direct and venture investments, personal wealth management. Tengrinews.kz earlier reported that the Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Economic Development and Trade forecasted GDP growth of 5% for 2011.
