Tengrinews.kz – A video of a wild boar and a roe deer, which were filmed in the Charyn National Park, has appeared online.

The video was published on the official page of the Forestry and Wildlife Committee on Instagram.

"In the Sartogay zone of the Charyn Park, camera traps captured a wild boar and a roe deer. The animals were captured on camera, which confirms the richness and diversity of the region's nature. The Charyn Park occupies a special place among the protected areas of Kazakhstan. Regular monitoring using camera traps helps to identify representatives of the fauna, assess the state of the ecosystem and plan conservation measures," the committee said in a statement.

Earlier, the Central Asian otter, listed in the Red Book of Kazakhstan, was recorded for the first time in the park.

"This is a significant event in the field of nature conservation. The Central Asian otter is classified as the second category of rarity in the Red Book of Kazakhstan as a species whose numbers are rapidly declining. Its rarity and reduction in habitat require increased measures to protect this species. The registration of the Central Asian otter in the park is the result of conservation measures and systematic monitoring of ecosystems," the committee noted.

By the way, earlier a video was taken of an unusually large lynx in the Burabay park area. You can see it via the link.
