Threat of flooding remains in the Southern Kazakhstan

A threat of flooding and rivers' overflows still remains high in Southern Kazakhstan low-mountain area on February 19-20, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan. More than two thousand people have been evacuated from Montaitas and Kozhatogay villages because of the threat of flooding on February 18. A channel that runs through Montaitas village is overflown because of a warm-spell, rains and intense snow melting. 19 residential houses have been flooded.
