Hailstorm hit Almaty on May 17. Almaty KazHydroMet weather service told Tengrinews.kz that its diameter was around 2 cm.
The marble-sized hailstorm was followed by a strong wind which cause damage to many trees, cars and houses structures in the city.
A storm warning was issued for 5 Kazakhstan oblasts on May 18: Pavlodar, Mangistau, Aktobe, Karaganda and Zhambyl oblasts.
