Spain has declared three days of mourning for flood victims

At a press conference, Spain's Minister of Territorial Policy, Angel Víctor Torres, noted that Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sanchez will visit the flood-affected areas of the autonomous community of Valencia on October 31.
Additionally, the minister assured that the authorities of Spain are making "every possible effort" to assist the autonomous communities of Valencia and Castilla-La Mancha in dealing with the aftermath of the floods and urged those affected to contact government agencies to report their damages.
According to local media, the death toll from the floods in Spain has risen to 72: 70 people died in Valencia, and two others in Castilla-La Mancha.
In Valencia, the floods caused power supply disruptions. Several flights were canceled at Valencia Airport. Additionally, rail and road services in the region were partially interrupted. On October 30, classes were canceled in schools, sporting events were canceled, and parks were closed.
The State Meteorological Agency of Spain issued a "red" alert, the highest level of weather danger, for Valencia. Meteorologists forecast that the rains will continue at least until October 31.
Earlier, we reported that heavy rain had caused devastating floods in Spain, with rivers overflowing and causing significant damage in some areas of the country. At the moment, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, there are no Kazakhs among the injured or deceased as a result of the floods in Valencia and other areas of Spain.
