Tengrinews.kz – The police department commented on the information about a shooting in one of the villages in the Sayram district of the Turkistan Region, which allegedly involved foreign citizens and occurred on the night of August 22.
Information that a shootout took place in one of the villages appeared in social networks on 22 August.
“A shooting occurred between foreigners in the village of Karabulak, Turkistan Region…” the publication stated.
The regional police department stated that the information circulating on social media is false.
“The reports of a supposed shooting between foreigners on social media are not true. The police of the Sayram district in the Turkistan Region are carrying out routine activities to maintain law and order and ensure road safety. More than 500 administrative offenses have been identified during these activities, and appropriate measures have been taken. The work continues,” the department said.
