“Kazakhstan’s national airline has been declared the winner of Best Central Asian and Indian Airline category at the Global Airlines-2012 award at Farnborough International Airshow,” the company states.
The winner was chosen via a telephone poll, online-voting and questionnaire survey of the passengers around the world. Best airlines were selected during 10 months based on 38 key factors of on-board and ground services, including check-in, boarding, armchairs, plane’s cleanness, quality of food and beverages, entertainment system and on-board services. Over 200 airlines were included into the survey: from major international to small internal air carriers.
Besides Air Astana, top 10 best airlines also include: Indigo Airlines (India), Jet Airways (India), SriLankan Airlines (Sri Lanks), Kingfisher Airlines (India), Spicejet (India), Jetlite (India), Uzbekistan Airways (Uzbekistan), Pakistan International (Pakistan), Air India (India).
