World famous Kazakh violinist and conductor Marat Bisengaliev will give a solo concert at the Kazakh National State Zhambyl Philharmonic Hall in Almaty on November 1, Tengrinews reports.


World famous Kazakh violinist and conductor Marat Bisengaliev will give a solo concert at the Kazakh National State Zhambyl Philharmonic Hall in Almaty on November 1, Tengrinews reports.

Bisengaliev’s Consert for Friends will feature musical pieces by Josef Suk, Karl Jenkins, Yerkesh Shakeev and Almas Serkebayev.

The Times’ “brilliant violin soloist” presented the Almaty Symphonic Orchestra as part of The First World Congress for Performing Art in October of 2012. The orchestra conducted by Bisengaliev has recorded over 10 records at the legendary Abbey Road and Angels Studio.

On November 12, 2014 Bisengaliev with the orchestra will present Kazakhstan-inspired Abai and Shakarim suites at Carnegie Hall in New York. The suites were written by a Welsh composer and Commander of the Order of the British Empire Karl Jenkins.

Marat Bisengaliev, 52, is a Kazakh violinist and conductor known around the world. The Times described him as a "brilliant violin soloist", American Journal Fanfare designated him "a Latter-day Ysaye", The New York Times said that "He has taken to heart a style of playing that was a hallmark of violin virtuosity early in the century, and is only now coming back into favour after several decades in the shadow of a more drily rational style". He won numerous awards and honorable mentions for his performances and discs.

Zhambyl Philharmonic Hall is located at #23 Tole bi Street at the crossing with Kaldayakov street.
