Tengrinews.kz – Organizers of Jennifer Lopez’s concert in Almaty, together with the leadership of football club Kairat and the city’s sports facilities management, have reached an agreement regarding the event scheduled for August 10.
Due to strong public interest and the international importance of the concert, the Kazakhstan Premier League match between Kairat and Zhenis has been postponed to September 21.
“This decision will ensure that Jennifer Lopez’s concert proceeds as planned while providing comfortable conditions for both football fans and concertgoers,” the official statement said.
The organizers expressed gratitude to Kairat’s management for “constructive dialogue, openness to cooperation, and respect for the city and its residents’ interests”.
“We also thank the Football Federation, the management of Zhenis football club, the sports facilities directorate, and all relevant services that supported the coordination and logistics of the project. We are confident that such joint decisions will help promote Almaty as a tourism hub,” the statement added.
Tickets for Jennifer Lopez’s concert in Almaty will go on sale starting May 28.
Earlier, on May 21, it was reported that Jennifer Lopez would perform a solo concert in Almaty as part of her global Up All Night tour. However, the next day, Kairat denied these reports, expressing surprise and noting that the stadium would be occupied and the pop diva’s performance was not part of the club’s plans.
