Tengrinews.kz - Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has commented on the boat explosion in Thailand.
According to the ministry’s official spokesperson, Aibek Smadiyarov, four Kazakh citizens were on board at the time of the incident.
"They are all safe and continuing their vacation in Thailand. However, two of them lost their passports in the fire. The consul will issue temporary documents allowing them to return to Kazakhstan," Smadiyarov told a Tengrinews.kz correspondent.
Earlier, a boat carrying tourists from Kazakhstan and Russia exploded in Thailand. In total, 37 people were on board, including 33 tourists from Kazakhstan and Russia, one tour guide, and three crew members.
