Explore Astana named Best Innovative Tourism Project by Astana Tourism Association

Explore Astana magazine has been awarded with the title of the Best Innovative Tourism Project by Astana Tourism Association, Tengrinews reports citing the association. According to the Chairwoman of Astana Tourism Association Rysty Karabayeva, Explore Astana is a genuine breakthrough in terms of supply of useful, comprehensive and interesting information about Astana, the capital city of Kazakhstan, in English for foreign tourists and guests who visits the city. "The magazine and its electronic edition have rapidly gained popularity and have been receiving a lot of positive feedback from the foreigners visiting our capital," she said. The Association has established the 3C Quality Brand: Standard of the Capital's Services and is focusing on promotion of tourism and improvement of the quality of services Astana. According to Karabayeva, the association is planning to expand its scope and increase the number of nominations to award the best hotel, best tour, best catering facility for tourists and best sight next year to facilitate development of tourism infrastructure and further improve the quality of provided services. Explore Astana is a guidebook that will help people learn more about Kazakhstan's capital Astana. It contains key facts about Astana, brief history of the city, things one should know before and during visiting the city, list of its top sights, attractions, restaurants, cafes, hotels and upcoming events (culture, business, exhibitions and fairs) and much more. The magazine also provides a list of contacts every tourist should have: emergency, health, business, government, shopping, and detailed maps of Astana’s three major districts. Explore Astana was first released in November 2012. “We give you a chance to make the most of your stay in our city, find our hidden treasures while experiencing some of our local culture with our city guide Explore Astana made for you by the locals and expats living in Astana,” Serzhan Kadyrbayev, Chief Editor of the magazine, said.
